Luetta Rhodes, or Lou as those who knew her well, was a part of the Iowa Lutheran Hospital family for many years. As a longtime volunteer at the hospital, she helped in many ways and also served as the treasure of the Iowa Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary. She brought smiles to the faces of patients and families and brought joy to the staff every time she was at the hospital.

In addition to her service, Lou also supported the hospital through annual gifts, helping to provide education for nurses, supporting special renovation projects and many other areas throughout the hospital. Volunteering and supporting the hospital during her lifetime was important to Lou, but she wanted to do more for the hospital she loved and the other charities important to her.

So, she talked with her trusted advisor. Together they reviewed her finances and ultimately decided that naming her favorite charities as the beneficiaries of a Life Insurance policy was the best way to accomplish what she wanted to do. Lou would be so proud to know that her Life Insurance gift is continuing her legacy of helping and serving others.
